Born in NYC and raised in the Dominican Republic, I went from hitting rock bottom to becoming a successful Manager in a private company in the center of Midtown Manhattan. After years of working hard in the private sector and achieving great results, I wanted to find purpose in life. I was good at my job, but I want to do something meaningful. I decided to quit my full-time job and went to graduate school to pursue a degree public administration. Why? Because I found myself working hard in a job that I didn’t find rewarding. My friends called me crazy for leaving a good paying job to go to school full time.

Since I was 15 years old, I knew I wanted to help others and make a difference in someone else’s life. While in graduate school, I started working in the nonprofit sector. I truly enjoyed working with families and helped them overcome daily challenges. Today, I’m still help underprivileged families in the government sector and I also want to help single working moms by transmitting my experiences and knowledge through this blog.

My vast work experience has allowed me to work in three different fields: private, nonprofit and government sector. I am now a full-time social worker and writer. I still live in NY and I deal with the same challenges many single parents face on a daily basis.
